Cynthia E. Stewart – Judges’ Hospitality, Judges’ Education and Members’ Education
I owned, showed and bred mastiffs in the 1980’s and 1990’s and had success. But, through a twist of fate, I ended up with an English Foxhound puppy (who I co-owned with Dr. Bill Newman). Virgil became the #1 English Foxhound of all time—winning 53 BIS’s,(a record that I believe he still holds today) and sired two Best in Show winning foxhounds in the US and several in Australia.
Today, although I am very active in my local Kennel club, I no longer bred or show nor do even own a dog nor do I hold a judging license. Since I have “no dog in the fight”, I have been responsible for judges’ hospitality for my all breed cluster for many years and for the MCOA for the past few years. It is my
committee’s job to ensure the judges arrive at the show site on time, have plenty of food and drink, are comfortable and return home with wonderful memories of judging for the MCOA National Specialty.
My goal is to make certain our judges think that the MCOA holds the best specialty of any parent club.
