Dear MCOA Members,

RE: Revision To 2010 Slate Of Candidates

We are currently conducting our annual election of MCOA Board members.   As part of this process,  you  have already received the slate of candidates submitted by the MCOA Nominating Committee. 

This is to inform you that the previously nominated candidate for the office of Vice President, Dolly Moore, has requested to be removed from the slate of candidates due to some unexpected circumstances beyond her control.

The MCOA Nominating Committee has submitted Dr. William Newman (who lives in PAas the new candidate for the office of Vice President.

If any MCOA member wishes to place themselves in nomination, please refer to the second paragraph in the previous Election of Officers notice; “call for nominations from the floor”, with a deadline of April 1, 2010.

DR. BILL NEWMAN ELECTED TO AKC BOARD

Congratulations are in order for the MCOA Delegate, Dr. William Newman!

 At the Annual Meeting of the AKC Delegates on March 9, 2010, Dr. William R. Newman, Delegate from the Mastiff Club of America, was re-elected to the AKC Board Of Directors!

 

 

CODE OF ETHICS REVISION COMMITTEE

Your may all be aware that recently the MCOA Has Formed A Committee To Review The Code Of Ethics & Make Recommendations For Any Possible Revisions Needed....

The Letter linked above asks for the Perspective Of Our MCOA Members about our Code Of Ethics & We Ask For Every MCOA Member To Please Participate.

Any revisions recommended by the committee will be shared with the MCOA Board, and if approved will be sent to the MCOA membership for a vote.

 

AKC RULE CHANGE

Effective January 1, 2010
All dogs must be individually registered with either the AKC or a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration in order to participate in any AKC Conformation, Performance, or Companion event.
